My experience

My journey into the field of mental health began with a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I started out working with non-profit organizations, supporting individuals at risk of exclusion. It was there that I developed a strong sense of empathy for those facing unique challenges, and I quickly realized just how powerful it can be to truly listen and offer support at critical moments.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience both in the UK and abroad, working within various mental health systems and refining my practice. As an expat myself, I intimately understand the emotional challenges and complexities of living abroad—the sense of disconnection, adaptation, and sometimes loneliness that can accompany such a life.

In addition to my therapeutic practice, I also lead workshops on emotional intelligence and well-being, providing practical tools to help individuals build resilience and foster healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. I also work with the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, where we offer business coaching and support for women entrepreneurs, helping them thrive in their personal and professional lives.

Each of these experiences has shaped me, fuelling my passion for guiding others on their mental health journeys. It’s been a rewarding path, and I remain deeply committed to helping individuals find clarity, strength, and a more fulfilling way of living.

My qualifications

My journey into psychotherapy and personal development has been driven by a deep curiosity about the human experience and a commitment to helping others navigate life's challenges. I hold a Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy, a modality that emphasizes awareness, integration, and the connection between mind and body and the importance of relationship. Before that, I completed Postgraduate Studies in Coaching and Mentoring. Additionally, I trained as a Consultant of Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy, gaining valuable insights into working with cultural differences and diverse perspectives.

Beyond formal education, I am dedicated to continuous learning, with a strong focus on trauma-informed work. I have completed specialized training in Releasing Trauma Safely and Effectively, Crisis Intervention, and Body and Movement in Psychotherapy, deepening my understanding of how trauma manifests and heals.

Alongside my therapeutic practice, I am also a professional trainer, facilitating psychoeducational workshops and group processes that foster self-awareness, emotional resilience, and meaningful personal growth. Committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all clients, I have also trained in The Challenge of Racism in Therapeutic Practice, ensuring my work is culturally sensitive and responsive to the diverse experiences of those I support.

I am a member of EAGT and a registered member of BACP and I regularly submit my work to supervision.
